Rome is a beautiful city of enchanting streets and little squares, statues, fountains, and of tiny shops and workshops of the kind that it is rare to find these days in richer and more organized countries, where retail chains and franchises have left little room for imagination and individuality.
Shopping or just window-shopping with someone who knows the city well, including its history, legends, its hidden corners and its art, is, we think, one of the best and most enjoyable ways to get a flavour of Rome's true character, with its alleyways, squares, bars, restaurants, ice-cream shops, and, above all, the shops the Romans themselves shop in. Speaking to clients we find that almost none of them have ventured beyond the area around the Spanish Steps and Via Condotti, missing out on many shopping opportunities.

I personally lead the tour helping you with the shop assistants, giving suggestions about the latest season's fashion or helping with any specific requirement you may have.

Initial contact is made via e-mail, which allows us to get to know each other and allows me to get an idea of the client's needs, their tastes, their budget and, if they don't already have one in mind, to suggest a shopping itinerary tailored to their precise requirements.
Before leaving for Rome we arrange to meet at the client's hotel or other accommodation then we meet up and set off on the shopping tour by taxi, by foot or in a chauffeur-driven car, according to the destination and the location of the hotel, and the wishes of the client.
How long does a tour last? For real shopaholics there is no schedule, they only stop when the shops close. In other cases, especially if there are men who don't love shopping on the tour, we concentrate on buying as much as possible in the short time available.
For certain kinds of shopping, in particular for antiques, a tour may last several days, or stop and start as necessary.
We have had quite a few clients who didn't actually want to buy anything, or who wanted to spend very little, and this has led me to seek out shops, markets and warehouses specialising in quality products at low prices.
This can also be useful for clients who want to follow the trend for mixing branded and budget clothing and accessories.
VIP clients interested in visiting high-fashion showrooms can, with a few days notice, arrange through us to access private areas so that they can shop in privacy.
Whatever kind of tour you choose in the city of Rome we try to arrange routes that pass through the most interesting streets and squares, off the tourist beaten track. We try and point out the monuments, squares, fountains and churches that we pass and explain a little of their history, not to mention the best ice-cream shops, historic bars, cafes and restaurants, of which we leave a list with the client.

We receive many e-mails from people looking for specific products which they cannot find at home, as well as from Italian and foreign companies who need to organize gift packs for the participants of meetings and conferences held in Rome. We have been asked to source all kinds of things, from natural soaps to hand-crafted paper, accessories, Papal benedictions, shoes, branded clothing, confectionary and much besides.
Once we have sourced the requested items, calculated shipping costs and the costs of our service we send clients a price estimate, which can be paid by credit card into our Paypal account. In 2-6 working days the items will be delivered by courier to the client's address, or delivered directly to the hotel where the meeting or conference will be held.

Clients usually send a description of what they are looking for by e-mail so we can conduct some research before they arrive. Once they are here we can show them photos so that they can save time and allow them, if time is short, to complete their purchases in a day or two.

We can make sure that our clients get the best deals and avoid possible rip-offs as well as helping with the language - unfortunately in Italy good English is rare outside high fashion shops.
We also offer assistance and suggestions regarding any restorations needed. After the client has left we can maintain contact with craftspeople, check on their work with a competent professional eye, and, when the job is completed we can organize transport of the pieces.
